the current sog flagship model...the one with the vietnam special forces emblem engraved is said to be made in the 800 year old samurai factory...does this mean it is of the same standard as the legendary samurais??

Hi Nick,

Your question is difficult to answer. Yes, many of our knives are made in the factories you have described. They have centuries of tradition and success which have produced some of the best knives/swords the world has known. But to compare the quality of products from hundreds of years ago to present would be hard. New technologies exsist today which makes manufacturing quality products easier and more consistant. But the time and craftsmanship put into each sword years ago is hard to beat these days.

To answer your question...I don't know. But the quality of products being produced today are among the best production knives in the industry.
