Are there any difference in the Sog bowie in sk-5 ,and the Sog bowie II in AUS 8 steel other than the steel and price?

Aside from metal finishes, the s2 has micarta washers to make up the handle, the s1 has leather. Other than that, the dimensions are identical.

ones im talking both have leather washers just diff. steels

Yeah the Sog bowie II in AUS 8 steel (SOG-S1T) is .240" thick and has a Black TiAIN Coated Blade with finger ridges on the handle. The Sog bowie in sk-5 (SOG-S1) is .280" thick no finger ridges on the handle and has a Gun Blued Blade with "Vietnam 5th Special Forces Group" on the blade unless its "sterile" then it would be a (SOG-SS1) I think.

Cool indeed. I didnt even know that that model of knife existed, I assumed caine was comparing the bowie with the trident :P

I guess the SOG-S1T sold out really quick. I read somewhere that they've made another batch.....just in time for Christmas. I think I made a mistake, I think both models have finger ridges on their handles.
