SOG Creed vs Cold Steel Trail Master

Hi, this will be my first post.

Hi, I'm about to buy myself a new blade, and I've found two that I really like, and I need some help deciding which one I should get.
I will use the knife mostly for cutting branches, and splitting wood. It will be used quite a lot and I need somehing that will hold an edge, and that is reliable.
Both blades are SK-5 steel. I can get the SOG a little cheaper than the Cold Steel, but please don't take the price into consideration. So, the SOG Creed or the Cold Steel Trailmaster?

Looks like the CS would be a better splitter and the SOG a better chopper. I don't like the cock-eyed fuller on the SOG, myself, and the CS has a more traditional bowie look that I like. Is weight an issue?
 
I've always wanted the Trail master but don't know if I could bring myself to doing heavy camp wok with it and ding it up.
On the other hand I have two The SP10 Marine Raider Bowie's made by Ontario Knife that I have beat the hell out of chopping firewood, breaking up pallets and even cinder blocks, splitting open elk. It seems a person can't hurt these things!

Your facts are wrong. The creed is Aus8 not SK-5. I am a SOG fan, mostly of their seki fixed blades. I like the looks of the creed but find the price not equal to what you get. Go with the trail master.
 
I've owned both, and I'd say go for the Trailmaster. The SOG isn't designed for woods use as far as I'm concerned. I tried to use it as a camp knife but it it just isn't as comfortable in hand as the Trailmaster. For being a hollow grind the SOG isn't as good at doing fine work as the Trailmaster is.
 
I agree with Silvanus, the Trail Master is the way to go. SOG knives by many accounts just are not what they used to be.
 
I am also a big SOG fan. But I also have two CS Trailmasters and I would recommend that as a
better choice.
