I have both, but would like to modify each.

One has a rather weak phillips driver, and the other has none at all. I'd like to install a regular phillips head in the one and remove the tweezers on the other, substituting a phillips.

I was told this could be done, but lost the note telling me how. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Our new moderator Chris@SOG might be able to tell you, but I will check on mine tonight, and see what would work. What do you mean by a "regular" vs. weak Philips head?

A "regular" phillips would be cross-headed. The one on the SOG mini looks kind of like an afterthought.

Mind you, I like my SOG minis just fine. I'm merely looking for ways to make them even better. The phillips head is more of a stub of metal rather than a real implement. That particular fold-out implement is also much shorter than the other tools. Also, while I prefer the usual cross-head phillips, even the flat-head phillips on the Leatherman Micra is preferable to the tiny one on the SOG minitool.

Just my own personal observations.

you should just email sog and ask for replacement parts yourself. Sometimes people just arnt interested in helping you on here...

Sorry, I would if I could, but im in New Zealand!

Pass it on when you find out Cardimon, I've often wondered myself as the flat philips is a pain to angle correctly.
