I've beat the $h1T out of mine for about a year, got it just before last Christmas from the same retailer, $20. I expected the handle to break after throwing it so much, but it's still going strong. I throw it hard, at a dead Black Locust stump, it's about 6' tall.
The metal sleeve had tried to migrate up the handle, it's slightly bulged around the tang, the edge has a small chip from hitting rocks in the yard I guess, but that's the extent of damage.
It is a "intro" level hawk, it's not a wood chopper, it's just not that sharp. The spike needs to be sharper to actualy puncture sheet metal, ie,. a car. The spike is more for digging than stabbing, and the sheath could be better, but for $20 it's about the best new hawk you can get.
