I'm looking for a cheap, light and small assisted EDC knife and I've narrowed it down to these, any opinions?

I don't know about the Camillus knives, but I do own the Flash I and the Mini Fast Draw. Given your choices, go with the Flash I. The AUS-8 steel is much better than the high carbon stainless mystery steel Gerber uses, and SOG's build quality is better.

If you're willing to look at other options, I'd also recommend the Kershaw Chive and Scallion (assuming fairly light use). Granted, it's 420HC steel in these, but Kershaw does a decent job on their heat treat, and the build quality is top-notch.

Another one to consider might be the Spyderco Dragonfly2. Around the same general form factor, but up a notch in price point. You get great VG-10 steel and rock solid construction. (but it's not A/O)

The Flash 1 is so small and light weight, its almost like a toy. But its also highly functional and being an assisted opener its a lot of fun to sit there and play with. The deep clip makes it a little difficult to deploy, IMO. But thumbs up overall.

The Fast Draw and the Flash are an excellent size for pocket EDCing.

I bought the FD before I realized what's happened with Gerbers; don't recommend it.

Bought the Flash based on reviews. Loved the deep pocket clip (can't get much better unless they make a black version) but didn't care for the assist and gave it away. Tried a larger version (think it was a similar Twitch) and had same reaction. Plus it had blade play. YMMV.

Don't plan on buying any more Gerbers or SOGs.

Agree completely about the Spyderco Dragonfly: light weight, manual, top drawer folder with great steel, a cinch to open, with jimping, in a size that's ideal for pocket carry with an excellent (although not deep pocket) wire clip.

What's not to like? Highly recommended.

My SOG Flash 1 is part of my office EDC. For a super light weight small knife it works very well. I actually like the pocket clip. Allows it to ride low in the pocket and almost disappear. Where I work that is a very good thing.

I have a Sog Flash 1 and use it all the time, not a super high end knife but will easily get the job done. Mine is three years old (used as my edc 90% of the time) and going strong. How much more can you ask for?

I am going to recommended against the dragonfly, I own one and find it a pain to open vs the sog. Otherwise its a good knife, I have big hands so YMMV.

I'd say get a Kershaw Leek. The steel is very good, similar to VG-10. The customer service is the best you can get, it's well-made, built in America, fast, and a very useful but compact size.

Don't get the Gerber Mini Fast Draw; it's crap. Feels like a toy and whatever steel they're using is pretty bad. Definitely the worst knife I own and the only one I don't mind wrecking completely because it is in the worst sense of the word, so cheap.
