SOG Flash II Aluminum

I am going to buy a SOG Flash I or II and am trying to figure out if the aluminum handled version is worth the extra money. I have owned a regular Flash II before and liked it, now in the market again, I don't need other suggestions for knives, I pretty well know whats out there and I have my heart set on the Flash series. Just looking for opinions of people who have handled the aluminum handled flash.

Also if given the choice between the old lock or the new style lock button, which do you prefer?

I would appreciate any insite on these knives.

Some folks seem to like the Aluminum....I usually don't care for it, so I'm bias.

Far as I know, the lock hasn't changed, I assume you mean the redesigned blade release. Definitely the new one...much smoother and easy to use.
 
Yes, the new lock release is what I am referring to.
 
I really, really wanted to buy a SOG Flash II with Aluminum handle. But as it turns out, it is only available with a partially serrated edge which I absolutely do not want.

I wound up with a SOG Aegis AE-06 (Digi Camo Zytel handle and black TiNi plain edge blade).

A bit later I bought a SOG Tac Automatic with black TiNi plain edge blade and aluminum handle.
 
I think I am just going to stick with the Zytel this time, I handled one in a local gun shop today and was very impressed, the new lock release is definately an improvement, and the AO was stronger than any of my Kershaws, surprised me. I am waiting til after the gun show this weekend before getting it, but I know I will, SOG did a great job on this one.
Also handled the Aegis and Spec Elite, both were top notch, I really don't know why there are so many SOG haters on this forum.
