I recently got a Flash II and I really like the knife. They only problem is if I hold the knife tip up I can flick the blade open, with a down ward snap. Since I live in Canada this could get sticky with the police. I checked with everyone including SOG and everyone tells me it's impossible to do. Has anyone else had this problem or am I just a freak the can flick anything open... I have had others people try and they can't open it.

Help me please!

The Flash II is an AO (assisted opener), not much flicking involved.

Did you mean a different knife?

I can't make mine open with a downwards motion but I can with a flick of the wrist to the right in my right hand. I use this method to open several knives (not the flash II though, it is AO after all).

Have you tried adjusting the pivot screw? I have mine set as tight as can be without impacting the AO much.

Yes I am talking about the Flash II, I am aware it is a AO knife. The question I had was since it can be flicked open with just a downward whipping wrist action would that or could that cause me grieve under the law. I have tried tightening the pivot but I do not want to over tighten the screw.

I think you would need to look at your specific laws. Here in PA, as long as it isn't an auto, it is fine.
