Hello guys, New to the Forum so far Love it!!!! well my  Q? is is the Sog Fusion (F01T) a great or good Hawk? thank you:thumbup:

I had one, it broke under the head on the handle. The newer ones have synthetic handles, so I don't know how well they will hold up. The head itself is stainless steel, NOT the best for impact.

If that's all you can afford and "Like that Style" ? But I think you would be better off to save for awhile and for Double the Money get you one of these and It'll serve you a Lifetime "And you can stake your Life on the Quality of this one !

I say go with the ATC LaGana, or if you want something for price similar to that of the SOG, but better quality, get a Cold Steel Vietnam Tomahawk. Cold Steel gets a lot of heat here on BF, and I'll admit to not being a fan of Mr. Thompson, but they do make good hawks.

I purchased one of the SOG Fusion hawks when they first came out. Two swings on a pine 2x4 and the wooden handle cracked. I sent the Handle to SOG and they sent me a whole new Hawk. I gave it away but I took the Head I had from the broken one and made a handle out of 6A14V titanium. It has been one of the best all round woods tools I own. The SOG hawk head is actually very tough and useful! As for the one I gave away. It now has a aluminum handle and it's owner is extremely happy as well.
