Hey Guys,
I did some searches on this and got mostly old posts. Does anyone know if SOG _still_ offers replacement implements for the powerlock? If so, what is available, and how much do they cost? Are they easy to replace, and what do you use as spacers?

Thanks,

Klattman, not sure about this, I have heard a lot of talk about tool swapping, but I don't own one so I can't say.
I am sure someone else will know the answer to this so......stay tuned. :D

Yep, I found this from March, '02, but I'm sure the prices may have changed, and I wonder if they offer them anymore...or if there are new options. I emailed SOG (can't call them while at work) also, so hopefully they will get back to me.

I was hoping someone had modded their Powerlock recently enough to know.

We do offer replacement parts for all of our multipurpose tools. The prices range from $5.95 to $8.95 depending on what you are looking for. The best thing to do is to get ahold of our consumer services dept and they will assist you and what tools will fit and the cost of each. You can email them at info@sogknives.com, they shoudl get back to you today. If you have not heard a response by the end of the day please email me and I will find out what you need to know.

Thanks
Chris

The PowerLock is really cool! I got to play with one at Walmart the other day. If I had had the cash I would have gotten one.

What you replacing?

Not sure, I don't know what's available, but I don't need the 1/4" driver, so I have some space to play with... when I am successful , I'll report back.

Okay, I plan on
1. replacing the 1/2 serrated blade with a PE blade,
and
2. I want to replace the 1/4" driver with either:
the serrated line cutter
and/or
another large screwdriver, which would be sharpened into a small prybar.
I'll have to see what fits, and how to space things...

I'll see how it goes and report back on my success or failure. :D :o

Thanks for the heads up. Great review. Glad it turned out so well for you.

One of these days I'll get me one....... One of these days......
