Just had to buy it. Around the neck, on the belt or cliped to the pocket. This is my first SOG. Anyone have a favorite full sized SOG and what's your opinion?

I've used a seal pup quite a bit as a friend who I camped with a lot owned one. It's a pretty good knife for the money, I'm a big fan of Aus 8 and SOG seems to have a decent heat treat on it. Plus if you look around you can usually find a decent deal on them, it's a lot of knife for 50-60 bucks. I think my friend got his for 50 as an open box special at a camping store.

Almost bought it. Everytime I picked it up something said no. Then I would put it down, then pick it up till I just walked away. I'm really looking at a k-bar. I want a really rugged, sharp knife that I can carry on camping trips. I have a Browning full curl that I love. It's sharp, stays sharp and handles well. Came with a nice leather sheath. It rides shotgun with my 45.

I've actually come to like a lot of SOG's knives, I still think they are a tad overpriced but thats another story. SOG Seal Pup is an awesome blade that can take some serious tasks. The Seki SOGs are still the best quality and among my favorite.
