Anyone have the skinny on the SOG KIKU KU-01 or the KIKU Tanto KU-02?

Introducing the KIKU, a "reverse collaboration" by custom knife maker Kikuo Matsuda of Kiku Knives. Inspired by the iconic SOG design, this limited edition blade will only be available in 100 pieces, 3 per month.

Featuring a mirror polished blade with double bevel lines and grinds, Green Canvas Micarta handle, and OU-31 steel. OU-31 steel It is a micro fine steel made by Nippon Koshuha Steel Co., Ltd. It features high hardness, HRc 64, and is 3 times tougher than that of D2. Reported to have 10 times longer edge holding than ATS-34 according to cutting tests.

Also includes Leather sheath and presentation box.

I'm curious about the steel too. Does anyone have any info or first-hand experience with OU-31? Are the claims above accurate?
 
I've always adored Kiku's knives, but never had the money for them. I can't understand SOG's price on these however, since you can get Kiku's hand made knives for half of that price.

SOG's perverted prices.
 
Try one fourth or one fifth of that price.
I didn't know sog was bringing another model from Matsuda.
No sane person would give this amount for these knives.
You can get his blue dragon, red dragon, silver dragon, Ryuo at half of that price.
O-Kisaki even at one fourth.

I have a big kiku in ou-31.
I find it to beautifull to use, but even if ou-31 is not better than D2 the knives are worth their price.

With price I don't mean SOG's prices
