Hey guys its been a long time since i've been on here. I actually have'nt got a new knife since May. :( Sad I know. Anyway I was looking through a magazine and saw the SOG Kilowatt. I'm a mechanic and have been doing a good bit of electrical work on cars lately. Thought the knife was a cool idea, and was wondering if any of you guys have this knife and what you thought of it? Generally what do you guys think of the blade steel, do the strippers work well, things like that?
What do you guys think about it?
Thanks for the help.

The knife looks interesting. Do you carry a Multi-tool (Leatherman, Gerber...)
I would say if you like the knife go for it. I usually carry a single blade folder and a Leatherman Wave - and If I were you I would go for the knife and carry a multitool

The steel is AUS 8 - it is a decent steel (not the best but not the worst) I have a sog seal pup and a sog seal revolver - both of those knives have held up fine so far. The good old saying applies "You get what you pay for"

Jet, no I dont carry a multitool. Probably would be a good idea for me too though. I think your right about you get what you pay for. I thought it looked cool, but its probably not worth the money. Thanks for the help.

I don't know the price you found but Bladematrix has them for $38.59. I don't think that's a lot for a quality tool.

It looks , um ... different. And I guess it would be cool.

But, a set of Kleins would be more useful on the job.

Klein linesman pliers might be more useful if you need a hammer. As the trade becomes more technical, the variety of strippers may hold more appeal.

thanks guys, I need to get a set of kleins for work. I have some for the house, need to get another pair.
I ended up getting a kershaw mini cyclone. Been looking at it for a while just haven't got one yet. Glad I waited now they had it on sale for 25.00 dollars.
