Just purchased the smaller knife here. To me it looks like a fine edge older model SEAL 2000 maybe? I put its big brother, the midnite tigershark in there for a size comparison. Anyone confirm what the smaller knife is? Maybe the value of it? Appreciate yall's help.

It's a black blade not blued like the the tigershark. Guy that sold it to me said it was a first edition of something... I knew it resembled the SEAL 2000.... Havent seen a fine edge on a Seal 2000 though.... or a black one...

Dont feel bad.I bought one off ebay like a dummy for 45$ shipped.. It reminded me of a SOG NITE TECH.. Btw nice Midnight!

IMHO it doesn't look like this is part of the SOG product line at all. Here come more of the Chinese counterfeits again?
Wouldn't mind hearing from Chris or someone else from SOG.

The smaller knife looks like a Chinese Fake to me. I've seen to many fakes on that website to trust it to have legitimate products.

Yes, unfortunately that smaller knife is a Chinese fake. It is not listed on the SOG website and there have been a few posts on Blade Forums and on the SOG site about counterfeit knives out there. We have seen it out in the world and are trying to find out the source but have been unsuccessful.

For everyone else that might be looking for a knife and are concerned about the authenticity of it we offer the following advice,

1 - If the deal looks too good to be true it probably is.
2 - If it ships directly from China it is most likely a fake.
3 - Look for the knife on the SOG site (http://sogknives.com) or the SOG collectors site (http://www.sogknivescollectors.com/). If it does not show up on either site it is most likely a fake.

Wow just got warned for posting that link... Said it was an advertisement... Wonder if the moderator even bothered to read the thread... The link was pertinent to the discussion... Flex those muscles...
