Sog knife logo?

Hi all!

Been wanting to get the Sog Recon Bowie for a very long time. Finally decided to get it before Christmas.

I'm undecided whether I should get the knife with the older Sog logo (Sog square logo) or the one with the newer Sog split logo. Which of these do you think would look better or prefer? Which is laser etched into the metal or is one of them printed on?

Also, I would like to know if there is any quality difference (eg. blueing of blade and leather handle quality) between the older knives (square logo) and the newer ones (split bullet logo).

Both of the knives are exactly the same with the exception of the logo. The two logos are stamped in the blade and not etched. The square one is the oldest one but there are going to be fewer of the split bullet ones. Hopefully that will help you out.

I like the square logo myself. My first SOG had the square logo. I miss it .

Thanks Chris & Raider for the information! I'll try to get my grubby paws on a Recon with a square logo (if I can find one). Although according to Chris the ones with split bullet logo have fewer production numbers...
