I'd love to see SOG design a well made (replaceable blade) folding utility knife, maybe as part of the contractor series. If I could design the perfect one, it would have a quick change blade feature but very tight fitting with no razor wobble. Also, an end cap for hammering paint cans or other things shut and a lanyard hole and belt clip. Also, it would have the S.A.T. opening capabilities. A bonus would be a small blade storage area in the handle. Milwaukee makes a one handed opener that I've ordered and is on the way, it has the gut hook feature like the sog trident. It is rated good but I bet SOG could do better. Anyone else have designs they'd like to see?

Here's a quick mockup of what I think would be a cool SOG Utility knife.

I would like to see camo, non-serrated versions of the Trident; as well as a fixed-blade, drop-point version of the Vulcan. Throw in some kind of kukri as well., and I will be a happy camper. :)

Hmmm....thats actually kind of interesting.
Having the handle cutout for emergency seat belt cutting or such, ads a nice bonus to the always useful basic utility knife.

How about a Bushcraft knife, Made in the USA. convexed. Stacked leather or stabilized wood handle. 1095 or O-1 steel.

Very creative. I like it. I have four different brands of folding box knives, just because they're cool. I would probably buy it. You would have to watch that any hammering with the butt cap didn't inadvertently trigger the SAT mechanism.

How about a Salt Water series? I'd imagine the SOG Trident folder in the satin finish plain edge but with X15TN or N680 steel for a higher corrosion resistance. Perhaps without the SAT so that it won't get messed up with sand in the action.
