I have a Flash II STGFSA -98 w/ aluminum handle ,combo coated blade , SAT opening . Still brand new . Received it in the mail , opened it and played with it a little while , and wasn't impressed I put it right back in the box . Just not my style that's all . Probably put it up for trade or on ebay . Good Luck !

I carry a SOG Flash II, smooth edge, with Zytel handles ($45 online). Quite light as no liners. Lighter than my smaller slim $20 Ka-Bar waist-carry folder.

Love it. Exceedingly fun flipper. Intelligent lock for peace of mind in the pocket. Wonderfully sharp. Blade is polished so shows fingerprints.

Everyone. And I mean everyone wants one for themselves when they see it, I show them how it works and they play with it. Quite possibly, the very best assisted opener.

The deep pocket carry clip is the most secure clip of any knife I own. Grippy. All you see is the clip when riding in my right front pocket. The pull needs to be more thoughtful than that of other pocket clipped folders due to the secure grip clip.

I haven't tried the smaller Flash I but I would if I wanted a smaller knife. I'm quite happy with the size of this knife and have no complaints. Don't notice it in my pocket.

Sharpening a combination edge, smooth and serrated, sounds like misery. I stick to smooth edge knives 95% of the time. Why do you like the combo edge? Man-o-man but I am hell on sharpening smooth edged hard steel knives! I've sharpened the folks kitchen and hunting knives this Thanksgiving Holiday and they are so amazed. Thank you Bronk for the EdgePro and the lessons. You are all right

Best,
