SOG knifes with the word Hoffritz on them?

Why do Old SOG knifes have the word Hoffritz on them?
Do they worth anything or it makes them less disirable?
I want to buy one but afraid its not good.

Hoffritz was a chain of stores that sold all all kinds of gear inclusive knives. They had their name on many of them that were the same as the manufacturer models otherwise.
