Has SOG completely stopped production of the models in their line-up manufactured in Seki City Japan ? These have been my favorites as they have more than proven their toughness and reliability . To me SOGs designs have fit my hand better than alot of other brands especially the seal series. Anyway any input?

I recenetly got a Mini Vulcan that has a VG-10 blade with Seki City marked on the blade. I'm not sure about the rest of their product line though.

My Spec-Elite 1 has Seki City stamped on the blade so unless they stopped making them within the last few months they are still made there.

You might post over in the SOG forum. The manufacture watches the threads and answers questions.

I own SOG knives, one of them made in SEKI and others made in Taiwan, Seki knife has visible markings about origin, but you need almost a microscope to see "Taiwan" in the others..... why? Possibly they know that Taiwan is not so well known as knifemakers land....

Have a nice week,

appreciate the info. I noticed that alot of manufacturers are following this trend but i suppose that its alright as long as performance isn't compromised.
