Sog knives made in usa ???

Sorry guys for the stupid question but Im not a Sog Specialist. Is the Sog Twitch 2 and Flash 2 made in the USA ??
 
I think those two models are US made. I'd probably go with the Flash over the Twitch just because I prefer the looks of the Flash a bit. Although the new Twitch with wooden scales might change that.
 
Just to elaborate a bit, I know they make knives in Taiwan, Japan and the States, but I'm not sure which is made where. I think all multitools are made stateside, but I'm not 100% on specific models.

SOG Has the info listed on their website. Look up a knife, chick on the Full spec's link and it's listed. :)
 
I've never seen a SOG that was labled made in the USA, I've seen Assembled in the USA. Thats not to say they don't, and I would bet the Nam era ones were
 
The original bowies made for the Studies and Observation Group were made in Japan. Some of the guys I saw in 5th Special Forces had them. I had an issue Camillus, but then I wasn't a Green Beret.
 
I think most SOGs are made in Taiwan now. Many will say assembled in the USA which means they were made elsewhere. A lot of the newer fixed blades will say a country on the blade, the newer ones saying Taiwan. I personally don't care about where something is made as long as it is of high value (IE low price and reasonable quality for said price). YMMV.

I have not held a twitch but I have carried a Flash II everyday for almost 3 years now. It has seen a lot of use and is working flawlessly still (with some cleaning, sharpening, and adjustment). Another one to look at is the Aegis. I just got one and it is great, finer tip blade than the Flash II but very similar construction.

BTW, when you quoted the twitch 2 wood handle at $85, I think that is what sog sells it at. You can do much better elsewhere. For example the Flash II and Twitch are $72-$75 MSRP on SOGs webpage. You can get them from Amazon for $42. In fact the lowe's down the street has the flash 2 for $50. FYI
