I have the boot knife Mini Pentagon, with a Kydex sheath.
I saw a documentary on Discovery channel (crime night on thursdays), where they displayed a Mini Pentagon with a leather sheath, so obviously somewhere on the way, the leather was replaced by Kydex.
I wonder if SOG has any spare leather sheaths available?
I also plan to buy the larger version S14 Pentagon, so if you have any leather sheaths for that one, I'd be glad too. :)

I hope that was just an illustration of what a boot knife looked like and not otherwise.
It sucks when any one particular blade model and type is made out to be on the wrong side of the law. Was it?
I wonder if knife companies can take action against movie or film productions that come out with damaging portrayals in regards to the way the knives are used.

Regarding this particular case, it was a documentary about a murder. It was never clear whether that particular knife was actually used - it was only displayed briefly. That's the problem with re-enactments, they just take what is available and shoot the scene. It was, however, the first episode in which one could actually see the brand of the knife. 99% of the cases, a kitchen knife is used.
Every thursday night between 9pm and 12pm, Discovery sends "crime night", which I never miss an episode of.
 
Not meaning to sound sadistic :rolleyes: , but I reckon it would take some effort to kill someone with the Mini Pentagon. The Pentagon seems like a much more suitable defensive knife and is on my shopping list.
 
The bad guy slit the child's throat in one slash with that knife. He was high on LSD or something.:grumpy:
 
Sorry if I offended anyone by being too graphic. It's a sad aspect of a free society that idiots always destroy for other people. That S.O.B. was caught pretty quick, though. He will never see the streets again... :D

No offense taken here. I'm really glad the SOB is off the streets and where he belongs! I'm always sickened by stories like this.

The Mini Pentagon is a great little knife. Have used mine to cut up 2" to 3" Srub Oak limp to make walking sticks. Whishing SOG still had some Leather sheaths left.
