SOG Magnadot (Seki). What an impresive knife!

Recently I picked up A Seki Magnadot off the bay at what I considered a very reasonable price. I didn't know quite what to expect from this knife. When I got it the first thing I noticed was the weight. It did not feel lite like many other FRN handled knives. The blade is thick! As thick or thicker than a ZT 550. What surprised me is how thick the FRN is. It is thicker than the blade and solid, not milled out or anything. Unlike most FRN handled knives I cannot make this handle flex. I can make the FRN with steel liners on my Spec Elite II flex but not the Magnadot handle. It is more along the lines of my CS Recon 1's G10: no flex at all with no steel liners. It is also a big knife that feels very good in hand. I can't wait to throw this thing in the EDC rotation!

It is not new. Very old in fact. They are still making them though the current version is made in China. I don't know how that version is. I would guess the quality isn't any where near as good.

Nice knife Craytab. I might get the newer one if I can find it at a good price. Looks like a great work folder.
Got 2 Seal Teams on the way though , partially inspired by pics of yours actually.

Thanks all!

Great. It is a fantastic all around utility knife. If you don't mind me asking, did you win those two on the bay this weekend? They went for a hell of a good price. I looked at them but held off. I already have two!

Thanks bro. I knew it looked to much like the Real SOG

Thanks all!

No , I bought them from Amazon. I usually get more than one of knives I like a lot. I have a STE but don't like the rasp too much.

That was me. Crazy cheaply priced. They were used but the edges were not chipped - I plan on using them anyway. These knives are awesome monsters!

Need a thumbscrew for the straight edge one though.

I thought about my inventory of SOG Knives and remembered that I had a few Magnadots (Seki) in my collection, too:

Sorry about the poor quality photo...I am working on building a "light box" thingy to take better photos.

Looks great. I just got another Mini the other day. Very useful little knife.

Thanks, Craytab.

Enjoy your new Mini.

I am going to post more pictures of my SOG collection in the near future for others to hopefully enjoy.
