Get a $20 American made Bucklite max ,or a $25 KA-BAR Dozier instead

This knife looks like a decent beater in plain edge, butbut does seem worth $35 and there are other good well known lightweight one handed lockbacks that cost less.
 
The present Magnadot 2.0 made in China 7Cr17MoV steel is a re-make of the original Magnadot made by G.Sakai, Seki for SOG with Aus6 back in the late 90s/early 2000s. It was known to be a thick bladed solid folder. I am guessing this 2.0 version kept those attributes. It's probably fine for what you'd pay for it. But there are probably better alternatives.
 
Honestly most Sog knives are overpriced imho. They use the fact that people don’t know they didn’t make vietnam era SoG knife to their advantage.
 
The Magnadot 2.0 has a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $35.00 and can be found selling for $15.00.
Not sure I'd consider "overpriced" imho. ;)
 
cheap, but I'd still checkout Spyderco's china made ambitious, persistence, tenacious instead.
