Hi! So i'm looking at the SOG Micron as an additional Christmas gift/stocking stuffers.
Normally i give Vic Classics as keychain knives but i'm curious about the Micron.
Does anybody here own one?
Any opinions on quality/utility?
So i'm assuming its a slipjoint as i can see no locking method from the pics i've seen online.
And the SOG site doesn't really say what type of folder it is.
Whats up with the length specs?
SOG's website says 1.5 inch blade but an overall length of 3.44 inches?
That can't be the closed length/handle length.
So i guess the closed length would be about 2 inches?
Perhaps SOG should fix their spec sheet to say opened length-3.44 inches, closed length-?, and maybe some info on the type of folder I.E slipjoint etc.

Anyway any opinions on the Micron will be appreciated , thanks!

I can clear it up some what for you.

The knife is a slip joint.

The blade length is 1.5 inches.
The "overall length" or open length is 3.44 inches.
The handle length is just under 2 inches.

Cool, thanks for the clarification!

My experience with SOG's is limited to my Paratool, Desert Dagger, Tomcat and a buddies Pentagon and Midnight Tigershark. I wasn't aware SOG were doing entry level stuff until i saw the Micron on Ebay.
So does anyone own/use the Micron?
Should i stick to giving Vic Classics as gifts or try a micron?
Yeah or nay?

It's a cool little key chain or pocket knife........it's small........but will cut well for it's size (I have 2).:o

It would also be a great bill fold knife or a great extra survival tin knife.

Go for it.............it's well worth what it cost IMO.
