in theearly 80's i purchased a sog midnite tigershark knife. i purchased it from cutlery shop. it has the letters S.M.CA UNDER THE SOG LOGO. It is in the box wrapped in the paper and it came with a sheath supplied by gerber. it has been in my gun safe since I have a number of other knives in smilar condition and i am curious if there is any way that i can find someone who is good at valuation of these blades....Don.

Depends on the BLUING how mint it is and if it has any rub spots.. I have bought an sold a few . The are super rare.. Only rarer one in my opinion is the SOG NITE TECH which is a mini midnight tigershark.. I paid 550 for my new in box midnight tigershark 99% mint... But it could sell for 100$ more or 100$ less just depends if u have a buyer! New Pig hunter gave good advise to follow..

Short story is 450-650$ all day if its in mint condition.. THe RIGHT collector could pay more. Thats my opinion!! email me if u need more help:o)..

GOOD LUCK!!

CONGRAT PigHunter!!! Hollycow!! I have only seen 1 forsale in 4 years..it was on ebay.. I was trying to lay low and at the last minute i bidded 380$ and lost!! I was so pissed!!

I would normally BE jealous, but you have done so much to keep VIntage SOGS alive on BF that I am glad you got it!! One day I hope to have one too:o) HINT HINT!!....

All this time we have chated and you never BOASTED that:o) !! They is definately something to brag and show off!! I love that knife!

Take care

Cheers,

yep, got very lucky and actually did some detective work to chase down an old thread ...... turns out the fellow was still at the same email address several years later !! He still had the Nite Tech, it was really well used and beat up, no bluing left at all. He hadn't used it in quite a while and was glad to send it to a good home.
I'm out on business, when I get back I'll post a few pictures.

Makes a nice companion to the Tigershark .... here's my Tigershark on the dinner plate a few years ago .....
