I've been into throwing knives for about a year now, but have no experience with any other type of blade. That said, I'm looking to get a small, fixed-blade knife for practical purposes, and I think the Mini Pentagon is exactly what I'm looking for. However, I can't seem to find any reviews for it, and am wondering if anyone here has some insight on the knife for me. Thanks!

Hey Avy! nice to see you posting in the SOG forum now. I though you would have gotten more responces by now about the mini Pentagon, sorry about that.

I'll give you some of my impressions. In 2000 I bought a few good quality knives, a Gerber dager, Mini Pentagon and a Short Kabar. My sister really liked the Gerber so that was her birthday presant. I used the PE14 quite a bit on campouts and hikes. The serrations were used a a few times to saw through branches for walking sticks, used the plain edge to remove the bark and cut various things. It was my backup knife for a long time. These days I rotate it with the Full sized Pentagon. It's a good sharp knife for slicing and stabbing. I think it has a large handle for the blade size but it sure is comfortable. :)

Cool, thanks so much for the feedback! I ended up going ahead and ordering it, and I couldn't be more excited.
