SOG Mini X-ray opening question

Hi everyone..I got a Mini X-ray today and I noticed that I can open it very fast if I pull back the locking mechanism and give it a flick...does this hurt anything? I always liked assist knives but I really liked the size and blade of this little gem....didn't know it could almost as fast as an assist....just hope I'm not doing any damage...

I don't own one, but... If it doesn't land open(or closed) harder than if you were to open it normally, it has to be safe. And better for the knife.
