Okay everyone. I know those pictures I posted last week were well received and kept everyone guessing as to what they are and some of you have been pretty astute at coming up with some good guesses. So here is info on the knives pictured in this thread
The first image is of the new Spec-Elite knives. These are going to be drop point versions of the Pentagon Elite. They use the same handles, Arc-Lock and blade steel. There will be two sizes a 4" (Spec-Elite I) and a 5" (Spec-Elite II). The MSRP for these knives will be $110 and $135. We are expecting to begin shipping the Spec-Elite in the next 2 months.
The second picture is of the new Tomcat 3.0. This is the latest updated to our oldest folding knife the Tomcat. The Tomcat 3.0 is going to be updated with the use of the Arc-Lock and slightly more up to date design. Unlike a couple guesses the handle will either be Kraton of Zytel, we are not sure at this point. The image is of an early prototype and some details are still being figured out, but as soon as I know they I will pass them on. The MSRP of the Tomcat 3.0 is going to be $195.
The third picture is of the new Jungle Primitive knife under our Fusion brand. We are launching a new brand this year and this will allow SOG to explore new designs and ideas that might not fit exactly into the main SOG brand. This is a sort of mini machete with a 9.5" blade, Kraton handle and a 420 stainless blade. The retail will be $60.
This is just a taste of things to come. Give me a couple more days and I'll post more new product information.
