SOG new products for 2002

Thee field knife looks like a winner. I am glad that SOG is doing some non tanto stuff.

Ron - nope, I wasn't at SHOT :( It just wasn't in the cards for me again this year...maybe next. I will be at the Blade Show this year, will you be there?

Hi Dexter,

Because of the "position" people have at SOG, I tend to get overlooked for shows. Spencer (SOG's owner), Scott (Sales Manager), and Matthew (Marketing Director) are the "key personnel" for shows and are expected to be there. Also, there is also the "someone has to 'manange' the fort" while the others are gone. That very often tends to be me. If they need a fourth person, or if someone else can't make it, then I might be considered. Of course, I'd LOVE to go.

Ron - lemme talk with Spencer :D LOL It's really worth taking some vacation days to come to Blade. Bring the wife and kids too, as there's plenty of shopping places within a short drive of the Cobb Galleria Centre ;)

That little Sculptura is a great looking knife, with a pretty darn good steel for a $40.00 knife. Ron, thanks for the link to the New Products section.

The SOG New Products web page says that both X-42 Field Knife and the Field Pup have AUS-6 blades while the flyer posted here says that the Field Knife is BG-42. What are they actually made from?

Hi Guys,

The Field Pup will be AUS8 and the Field Knife will be BG-42. Still working out typos. Sorry! :)

Thanks Dexter.., Ron...nice of you to post the stuff...
