After searching through these forums and elsewhere, I was unable to find even more than scant mention of this knife. But I took the plunge and bought it because it looked so tasty. Here are my initial observations, please forgive the disjointed style (more to follow):

On opening the box, it was clear this was ridiculously sharp because trying to remove it from the packaging sliced through it with no pressure whatsoever. I was expecting it to come in the sheath but it didn't. This is my first knife with a Kydex sheath and I am very impressed with the security this style of sheath gives. People have mentioned that they couldn't visualise how the finger hole is used; I put my ring finger in the hole, and index finger and middle finger placed where you would expect, thumb on the back. I have exceptionally large hands and it feels a little small, but it appears to be a strong grip with lots of control regardless. The nylon cord lanyard is long enough to loop so that my head and left arm are through the loop leaving it hanging in my left armpit. Belt clip is simply the back of the sheath folded over with a small indentation. It works in holding the sheath to the clothing, but you would be unable to draw the knife using this clip. After slicing corrugated cardboard, I do not want to put my fingers anywhere near the blade.

Feel free to ask questions because I may not think of everything ;)

More to follow after a bit more usage...

I didn't describe properly where the thumb went with the ringfinger-in-hole grip. For power, theres a ridged bit on the back of the blade (choil?), but for control, the rubbery surfaces just at the start of the blade provide an ideal place to put the thumb tip. Gripped hard, I feel reasonably confident that my fingers wouldn't slip onto the blade and that the knife couldn't easily be removed from my hand. I would prefer the handle to be a little longer so it didn't feel so cramped though.

I am submitting this review for the knife-knut on a budget ;)

Thanks for the review. That looks like a cool neck knife. Any chance of getting a picture of it in your hand? I'm having a hard time picturing how you grip it.

Thanks,
Trent
