Anyone who had/has one - please say a word.
Have doubts about this one vs PowerLock.

10x in advance!

i had one but traded it away as I did not like it all that much. It is a lighter duty, or at least it felt that way to me, than the powerlock which I also had at one time. I found that the folding plier head made the tool somewhat awkward to use after being used to the butterfly design of the mainstream tools, but that's more of an acclimation issue.

overall, it's a fine tool for EDC, if you can get it at a good price, I'd pick it up, if nothing else it's good trade fodder.

I had two , both failed in the same way . The handle halves cracked near the plier pivots when doing an emergency crimping job ( B connectors on 22ga wire ) . Never looked at one again . Other than those two failures , it was a good concept.

The Paratool is a much smaller multi-tool than the PowerLock. I have a couple of the early production Paratools (one for collecting and one for using) but I haven't used mine much at all. If you want a smaller SOG multi-tool, I'd highly recommend the SOG Pocket PowerPlier. It's similar to a Leatherman PST (including the lack of an ergonomic grip) but it has compound leverage pliers.
