SOG Paratool

Hi there

I'm thinking of buying a paratool but I see that it has no scissors which I find really handy on a tool. When I was having a look at some SOG multitools I was reading the leaflets and I saw that the folks at SOG are very helpful as they will assist with tools taken off and put back on.

This leads me to my question - can I buy a paratool with a couple of changes before it leaves the factory? A sort of build your own like Gerber - except of course I'd rather have a SOG?

Hi CM,

Typically, we sell it as is and the customer is free to alter and change their tool as they see fit. It is very easy to do!

We have, on occasion, done a few alterations for customers. But that is a rare exception.

The scissor that we sell ON the PowerLock will go on a few other tools, but will not fit on the ParaTool.

What ever happened to the diffrent blades that were coming out for the para-tool. I replaced the file with the line cutter when the paratool first came out but never could find any other blades. What happened??????

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. Let me answer what I think you're asking (and if I'm off-base, please reask your question! ).

The Serrated Line Cutter is an accessory that could be added to a ParaTool (it did not need to replace anything). Are you asking about additional add-in accessories (like the Serrated Line Cutter)? If so, SOG makes an assortment of components for its various tools that can all (with the exception of the scissor) be put into the ParaTool. Either look at pictures of tools on our website (which the tools currently being sold are slightly different than our website) or at SOG tools in a store and if you find something that interests you, please call us to purchase. OR, you can give us a call at 888.SOG.BEST and talk over your options. The 1/4" Drive is the first that comes to mind, in addition to several combination tools (file with a large screwdriver, bottle opener with a medium screwdriver, can opener with a small screwdriver, etc.).
