I have an email into customer service but.....

I want to replace several blades on the powerlocks I just bought. The driver bit is pretty much not needed for me. It looks like two blades will replace that.
Where do I buy the blades. Cant find a link to purchase on the SOG web site(hint hint). Does anyone carry these or are they special order from the factory.

Also what blades are available? I know a straight blade and seat belt cutter will likely be it for me but are there others?
 
You can order replacement parts directly from SOG. Try calling our consumer services department at 888-405-6433 x240 or info@sogknives.com.

One thing to keep in mind is you can only replace the longer components with long components. The blade, the saw and other such long components will not fit where the 1/4" driver is. they have to go to the outside of the handles. If you put them in the middle they end up getting in the way of the plier head when closing the tool. If you have more questions please let me know.

Like Chris suggested, call SOG's Consumer Services Department. They'll talk you through the whole process. Of special note (and most often overlooked): not all components can be placed next to other ones...there need to be a certain order due the the shape of each component.
 
I called Customer service. The girl was very nice. However I apparently recieved the wrong info about the degree of blade interchangability as you all pointed out.

Sog offered to set me up with a replacement duplicate screwdriver/spacer but I need to think on that.

What would be the chances of SOG making a blade to fit the space occupied by the driver? A short tapered flat blade would be quite useful and not expensive to make alowing the customers who prefer to turn bolts with wrenches and not pocket/belt knives to have a useful alternative.
 
Just out of curiosity, can you get replacement blades for folders made out of different materials?

We do not currently offer replacement blades of differnt materials for our folding knives.
