Well anyway, since I can never leave well enough alone, I decided to take apart to see if I could clean it up a bit and smooth it out. Well the two springs managed to disappear inside the handle.

I was able to remove all but one screw using an allen key. Since the remaining screw is a torx, I need to go buy one that is the right size.

Is it necessary to remove the scales in order to re insert the springs? Are there any diagrams anywhere? I have been unsuccessful in my search.

One more ? where would I find torx drivers that small. Home depot and lowes don't carry them?

Dude...you just got it too...have you tried the SOG forum? May have to send it to them.

I know.

I have a habit of taking things apart and then figuring out how to reassemble them.

You should have seen the first time I took my 1911 apart. I stared at all those parts for what seemed like an entire day :D
