SOG Pillar mounting options

Not too long ago I bought a SOG Pillar and really love the knife and the kydex sheath itself is great, but the teklock style mounting option leaves a lot to be desired (only two screws mate up with the kydex sheath rivets and I've never been a fan of this style of carry on a belt.) At present, I was planning to make a plate to go between the teklock and the sheath to allow for a more secure feel than just the two screws holding it on. Also been thinking about making another kydex piece to allow this to hang down off my belt so the pommel isn't a rib jabber. In the meantime I'm using a paracord wrap to create belt loops as losing this knife over two screws through some plastic would suck. Just wondering if anyone else has come up with a better belt mount setup than the teklock style it comes with? Other than this one issue, this knife has become one of my all time favorites.

I liked the Kydex sheath the SOG Pillar came with, but the belt mount makes the sheath ride way too high. This makes it very difficult for me to unsheath the knife. One solution I found at home was to use the sheath for the Gerber Strong Arm Knife.
If you have one already, give it a try; you might like it. I am not going into combat or something extremely hazardous with this knife so I think it will work for me.
