SOG -- powerlock....?

Acquired a powerlock with some scissors. It is missing the little spring that opens the scissors after a cut.
The Q is this: is it worth while to purchase the spring? are they notorious for coming off, getting lost, binding up? Any thoughts appreciated.

If you intend to use the scissors I'm sure they would more useful with the spring. Perhaps sog will even send you one, you could always send them a nice email.
Both of my Powelocks have the V-cutter.

If installed correctly the spring or what I would call a tension rod will never come off. Call sog tell them it is missing and with there excellent customer service will send you one free.
