SOG Recon Bowie on Devilbay.

I was looking around on the demon auction site and saw that there were a few SOG Recon Bowies for some pretty big money. One had a Buy it now price of $375. That's crazy. I wonder if they're really going to be worth this much now that they're discontinued. If so, somewhere down the line, I might have to part with the one i have that has never been out of it's box.

They very well could be worth that much. I think that might be a little high right now but in actuality they are worth what someone is willing to pay for them.

I'm sure I'll just hang onto it. I bought that one as a display knife when I got the other one. Plus if I ever manage to snap my user Recon, I'll have a backup. I really wish that I could find a plain edge Tigershark from back in the day. I'd drop some good dough on one of those. In my mind, that knife was the golden child of SOG.

I don't think we will see another carbon steel straight edge Tigershark but we could do a straight edge version of the current Tigershark 2.0. Actually I have suggested this and am going to gently try and push it forward. I can't guarantee anything but the thought is there.

Even though it wouldn't be SK-5, if you guys did a plain edge Tigershark, I'd definitely get one. No frills, no thumb groove stuff up the spine, just a good plain edge huge Tigershark. Make it happen Chris. We're counting on you.

I sold a new one recently without a reserve price (plain old fashion auction) for $182.50. That is the buyer's market. The Seller's market can set the price as high as they want. Somebody will buy it from them sooner or later.
