Sog Recon Government Sheath?

I just got a SOG Recon Government, and it is breath taking lol. The gun-blue finish on the SK-5 blade, I will be getting more of the seki blades for sure lol.

ANYWAYS, it came with the original condura sheath in mint condition but I want to grab one of the new SOG sheaths for this baby. I was curious if anyone else here who owns a Government has done the same thing already and could tell me which sheath they found to fit best.

Here's the specs: Blade Length: 6.25 in.
Overall Length: 11.25 in

If anyone knows which nylon, leather, and kydex sheaths SOG make that fit the Government well I would be forever grateful
 
Or anyone with knowledge of SOG knives who can come up with educated choices, just wanting to play it safe which is why I ask you, the keepers of SOG knowledge.
 
Have you tried calling SOG Knives company with your sheath question? They may be able to give you an answer.

I have a Government, which according to the Collectors site says a 6.25 inch blade. However, when I measure it looks much closer to 6.4 rather than 6.25.
The current Tsunami is said to be 6.5 inch blade and I have a current Nylon sheath for it.
Although SOG does not list the Tsunami Nylon (they don't offer any other kind) on their sheath list
it is available if you call them. The Government fits the Nylon Tsunami sheath, it's bit snug at the top but at a level where repeated use would adjust this. I think that both the Govt series and the Tsunami having fairly narrow blades makes the fit work.
A number of replacement leather sheaths are available from SOG for the current Sog Bowies and the ones designed for the 6 inch class blades, like the Trident 2.0/Bowie 2.0 "might" work as well for any of the Govt series. But I would examine the blade width very carefully.

Well I called SOG again and after talking with a helpful employ came to the conclusion the only sheath they currently make and sell that would fit it is the Nylon for Seal team/ Elite. But after reading what you said Ken ended up grabbing a Tsunami new and cheap via auction on ebay :D Thanks for the info, if I end up trying any other sheaths out I will be sure to post results

The only thing I would worry about with the newer nylon sheath is that the plastic insert could rub off some of that nice gun blue. It has taken of a bit of the powder coating on my Seal Team and Seal 2000 but these are heavy users so I don't really care. Just a thought!
