What do you guys think of the SOG X-42 Recondo?

I am considering that, or maybe the Gerber Trident....any opinions on a fixed blade, not too long...I'm open to most anything, but something aside from the norm...I love the kbars but something different...

You might also want to take a look at the Camillus/Becker BK-2 Campanion or the larger BK-7 Combat/Utility.

Try Swamp Rat Knife Works! They are really different from most other knives, convex ground, deep finger choil, (almost) unique finish (their mother company Busse uses it as well) and Resiprene C handles (this material can't be had in other knives excluding the old Busse Basic line).

Bandicoot from Swamp Rat knives. Higher cutting performance, edge retention, ease of sharpening, tip penetration and strength, handle ergonomics and much higher overall durability.
