I had seen the sog revolver online for a long time and wanted to buy one, so i went to my local knife shop and the lady was out of them. She alo told me she wasnt real fond of the knife, so I was starting to wonder what others have to say about it.
Has anyone here have it, or have any experience with it?
Thanks

She probably did not know (or understand) how it works, it takes about a second to change from a cutting blade to a saw, by pushing a button, its been reviewed in several magazines recently, all were very positive reviews.

Eyeeatingfish, I just found out yesterday that the Hunter Revolver was reviewed in Blade Magazine, September issue. I have not read it yet, but was told it was a good review. Just thought you might want to know.

I love the concept for this knife. I'm looking forward to trying it out at a show sometime. The one worry I have is, of course, how secure is the sharp edge under my fingers?
I also look forward to a review. Maybe some of us should get together and do a pass-around?

Johnniett, Imagine a straight knife you are holding, pushing down hard on the object you are cutting.......If either blades (which ever blade you have locked in the handle) were to come down and out of the handle, (which it won't). That edge will ALWAYS be a blunt edge.
This is the way this knife was designed, it would NEVER have a sharp edge that could cut your fingers. Because blade edges are reversed, if the cutting edge you are using is pointing down, then other edge hidden in handle is reversed, pointing up in the handle, and if it were to come out the bottom, it is reversed, so you would not get cut.
The blade is locked securely in the handle with a 1/4 inch steel pin under spring load, it is extremely strong. There is also a stop in the handle, when pressure is applied to cut with cutting blade, not only is there a pin to lock the blade, there is also a stop, located inside the handle to prevent rotation of the saw blade in a downward position. The blade rotates 180 degrees, down and back, to rotate from saw to cutting blade.
The best way to understand this very simple and unique straight knife design, is to look at one a few minutes. It is amazing to most how easily it works, and how secure the blade is, once it is locked in. I hope this helps you understand how it works.

Jeff, you are exactly right, sometimes I get carried away with explaining certain aspects of the knife, I don't mean to bore people, I just get excited when I think of how well this knife works. :)

Your explanation was so much simpler, and took a lot less time. , thanks for posting the link.
