Sog Revolver--what's the hole in the blade for?

Hello again, :D

I've been thinking about getting myself a Sog Revolver--but I can't figure out
what the hole in the knife-blade is for. Anyone have any idea?

Also, does anyone know of a good, secure-locking Sog folding-knife? I've read
many posts concerning that some of the folding-knives have blade play, lock
issues, etc, etc. :grumpy: It's odd that I've read several posts detailing how extremely strong the higher-end fixed-blades have proven to be, while I've read far more posts concerning the folding-knife problems. (Oh, btw, I don't like assisted-openers. I like over-built folding knives with strong locks.)

Thank you in advance.

Tomcat has pretty good axis style lockup. Tad pricey, but if you search you can find a pretty good deal.

I like over-built folding knives with strong locks.
I'm assuming by "over-built" you mean hefty.

Check out Zero Tolerance, they pretty much fit that description.

(Was gonna mention Spyderco, but I don't really consider them "over-built", just built about right. :D)

Thank you guys for the help. :D. Yea, the Tomcat is too pricey for me. Overbuilt--I like
folding-knives which are built like a ka-bar mule.

darkseraphane, he didn't mention it so I will: Robbie Roberson is the designer of the SOG Revolvers. :)

The Vulcan or Mini-Vulcan is the one I would choose. They are stout folders. They are exactly alike except for the size.

If you buy the Revolver, I'd buy the nylon sheath for the Seal Pup Elite to use with the Revolver rather than the factory sheath.
