After searching through 17 pages of search on BF's. I have taken the plunge and ordered the Seal Revolver ( the original, not Fusion)
Can't wait for it to get in and use it. I have a 4 day wilderness canoe trip latter in the summer and this will accompany me. My son will be there with his Pentagon FB. He took it on our last canoeing trip.
Between my soon to be Revolver, my BI-Polar,my EDC of a Trident, my son's Pentagon, and my son-in-laws Trident folder and his Jungle Fusion, I'd say SOG's have become our choice in production models.Great job SOG on the quality and affordability of your knives:thumbup:

hstdist, I think you will be very pleased with the Revolver knife and what it can do for you around the camp and outdoors.

They have more than proven themselves in the last 7 years and I just found out the SEAL Revolver was just nominated for some kind of award from the shooting industry..........just getting nominated made me feel so good.........this was huge to me.:D

I am surprised you found one of the originals because they are getting harder to locate.

The new models seem to be as good as the originals except for the sheaths.

I love mine and carry several in my vehicles and packs in case of emergencies etc.

Please let us know how you like it..........the saw is SUPER sharp as is the blade.

Treat your saw like the hidden gem "survival saw" that it is.........use it for detailed work around the camp.(tent pegs, traps, smaller pole cutting etc. and it will last a life time.)

I have cut many large trees with mine and it will do it with ease but I try to use bow saws for cutting large amounts of fire wood.

Robbie Roberson. ;)

Thanks Robbie,

Based on all the +1 reviews and your pride in this project, I went for the revolver. Plus SOG knives are a great product, so I know I'll be happy with it.
Can you tell I'm excited to get it.:D

saw one at cnadian tire the other day thought about picking it up but i would never use it...

If I could find one of the original versions I would get it but in retrospect the newer revolvers arent that bad priced for what they are.

i am taking mine on a canoe trip mid july. i use mine during trapping season here is arkansas.
i was sure hoping for a mini version to come out but i see that hasn't happened yet.
