Hey can anyone tell me the blade thickness on the SOG S37 Seal Team? How well can it chop? And also, where is it made? Cheers

SOG Team S37 blade: 7'' * .240''

The SEAL Team knife evaluation program included: tip breaking stress, blade breaking limit, sharpness, edge retention, handle twist off force, two week salt water immersion tests, gasoline and acetylene torch resistance, chopping, hammering, prying, penetration tests, cutting six different types of rope and line, plus an intense hands-on competition in the field.

It should chop pretty good, it has a thick .240'' blade.

I ordered a couple of them(you gotta have one reserve :p) .
I like them a lot better than the Seal Team Elite.
why?
because there is no spine-rasp.
simple, sharp and strong, that's how I like knives to be.

I did not chop with a Seal Team,I haven't got one yet.but did chop some wood with a Seal Team Elite.
which is almost the same.
and it did fairly well.chunks of wood were flying all over the place.
the point of the Elite is delicate, which make it as good or even better than a daggert or selfdefense(penetration).
not advised to use it as a prying tool.
but I never do that with blades anyway.you can use a skrewdriver to do that.
