Anybody have any opinions on the Salute? All I've heard is that it will be in the Fusion line; G-10 scales on top of stainless liners; lockback; 8Cr13MoV steel; and a movable thumb stud. I'm looking for more information on it, specifically user thoughts and opinions. I understand store price is about $35. Anybody have one?

Check this awesome guy named Jeff also known as Cutlerylover, he made a great video about the knife:

Well if I look at the knife and I see it has G-10 and 8Cr13MoV (which is equal to AUS-8 I thought) then I think that it is a great knife. G-10 handle, that's better than the Flash and better than the Vulcan.

Maybe someone can explain it, but it seems to me that this one is better than a more expensive SOG knife?! Jeff says that there is no blade play and most other more expensive SOG folders have some blade play. You can't get rid of it completely cause otherwise the SAT won't work anymore. Well overall it seems like a good buy, I like the looks of it. Maybe I pick up one myself.

I saw Jeff's video; I wanted smoe other thoughts on the knife. As much as I respect Jeff's opinion, he is only one person after all, and I'd like more feedback from anybody else who has the Salute.

DAMN fine knife, worth a sure sight more than its $45 MSRP.

adjustable thumbstud is a novel idea, even if i never do get around to using it :-P
