SOG SEAL pup and its sheath

I recently purchased a SOG seal pup, and I love the knife. Its scary sharp, and feels great in the hand, but the kydex sheath with the groove feature just doesnt work well for me.

Is there a place I can buy one of the facotry SOG nylon, or leather sheaths for the pup? Does anyone on this board make custom leather sheaths? Any suggestions would be great. TIA. :D
 
Howdy Spitfire762, SOG sells a really nice Nylon sheath for the SEAL Pup which can be seen here: http://www.sogknives.com/Fixed-Blades/Tact-nylon.htm. You can order them by calling SOG Directly. Not only does it work on the SEAL Pup, it also works with other SOG knives as well. Pentagon, Field Pup and NW Ranger come to mind. Hope that helps,

Spitfire, have you gotten a nylon sheath for it, or found a custom leather smith yet?

IF not, check out Leatherman on the forums. His web site is: www.armoralleather.com. He does some nice leather sheaths. He's helping me learn the trade and is really cool! :cool:

Funny, I have the SOG Seal 2000 and the SOG pup with the old sheaths without the groove, and just called SOG customer service and ordered the new style sheath for the big SOG Seal that has the cord cutting groove. $30 plus almost $9 S&H!

Guess I should have waited until this year to buy the knife! Oh, well, I guess I should just be optimistic and say that now I have both style kydex sheaths...

Thats really odd. When ever I ordered sheaths from SOG they either didn't charge my shipping or it was only $2 cause they sent them in a manila envelope via USPS 1st class mail. Only time I had to pay the $9 shipping is when I ordered knives from them... Strange, very strange..

Spitfire, I have an original nylon sheath from when the SEAL Pup first came out. It's in mint condition. If you want to trade, just send me an email. ;)
