Can anyone tell me how the SOG seal pup elite is? I'm thinking about getting the black TiNi model with partial serrations.

Overall it's a great knife for the price, I was really impressed with the feel of the knife in my hand. Also it comes with an excellent sheath. It is Molle capable and able to be used for horizontal or vertical carry. The only problem I had with this knife was that it is made in Taiwan.

For a little more dough you can get a Fallkniven F1, which most people here agree is superior. I bought both and ended up selling the Sog. YMMV.

I agree with 5.56. I'm sure a SOG knife would suit you well but for a little more money you could get a better knife that you'd probably be happier with. I'm really not into the whole tactical look so I tend to buy simpler-looking knives. What I also don't like about the SOG is the handle material. I believe it's Zytel, which is very hard and can be uncomfortable in extended use. But that Fallkniven F1 looks great!

Love mine. Beaten the hell out of it lately and it still looks great and has held its edge well. I also have a Rat 3 that I like even more.

I've owned both the Pup and the Pup Elite. Didn't care for the full spine thingies, whatever they were supposed to be. Sold the Pup Elite, still have the Pup. Not a bad knife, just overpriced for what you get material-wise. There are better values out there.

Well, I am going to go against the stream and say that I love the looks of that SOG. I started out my working career as an armourer, so I have always been a sucker for things 'tactical'. Not junk mind you, but well designed and thought out knives and hardware.

I would own the SOG more for a collection/display than as a hard 'user', to which the F1 is better suited...IMO.

I love my Seal Pup Elite. Here's pictures of mine. It's one of the most ergonomic fixed blade I have

So am I! Combat knives and daggers make up a large part of my collection
