Sog seal xr custom clip?

So I got a sog seal xr when it first came out. I absolutely love the knife except for one thing. The clip is HORRENDOUS. I've honestly never had a more uncomfortable clip on a knife. So I removed it. Anyone know of a replacement clip that would work? Of course the method of attachment is pretty unique so I can't slap on some random clip. Aside from finding some sort of replacement my first thought was to try and find a pocket slip with a clip and carry it that way. The knife is pretty large so that's not the easiest thing to find either. Anyway I can't be the only one who despises this clip. I figured after a while of being out we'd see custom clips available.

I have been able to heat up clips and reshape them before perhaps that can fix it.

I used a propane torch and came up with a plan for shaping using a metal pipe and a vice. I used pliers to hold it of course. Use caution if attempting, I did mine outside away from flammables.
