Hi, guys.
I have recently become the happy owner of a Sog Seal xr ti.
After lubricating the mechanics the flipper has become very hard, almost impossible to open. This is due to the fact that the lubrication has made the movement of the harmonic steel springs more fluid, making their locking action more energetic.
I removed the scales from the knife and I noticed the presence on the titanium folders of three small holes for anchoring the springs, with consequent three types of tension.
I anchored the spring to the hole furthest from the pin so as to decrease the tension.
Now the flipper works perfectly. Did I do it right? Is the lock in the open position still safe or could the knife close inadvertently?
Thanks-you.
