Hi all.

I recieved my SOG Trident S2 a couple of weeks back, and I love the knife. It has already seen some action in the woods, and I am impressed with how it performs. After I had opened and closed the pouch containing the sharpening stone on the leather sheath, however, the button on the pouch fell off. I was not happy, and contacted SOG. They were more than glad to send me a brand new sheath, free of charge. I received it a week later.

This little story tells me that this company puts its customers on top of the priority list. Now, I don't think I will ever consider buying a knife if it isn't a SOG. In fact, I do need a folder, maybe an AirSOG? I love the classic lines on that knife.

Thanks, SOG. You have a customer for life! Now my family and friends also know where to get top quality tools and knives, and get excellent service into the bargain! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

(By the way, the new sheath is exactly as it should be. No problems with the pouch.)

Rower,

you stated the exact reason why I became a SOG kinda guy a couple of years ago: customer service. I was fortunate that nothing had broken, but everything I read about SOG convinced me they take care of their customers. Here's what I posted way back when I first joined this forum:
"What really caught my eye was the customer service aspect. Someone had made an adverse comment regarding his SOG knife, and Ron Andersen simply said, ".... send it back...."
If that doesn't define customer service, I don't know what does."

Keep us posted about your adventures with the Trident !!

Cheers,

Carl
