SOG Steel Question.

On the NW Ranger what is the steel type?

Saw one on a site for sale that said 440A but I thought SOG used AUS 6.

While I am asking what is the steel on the Pentagon?

Yes I know I could probably surf around and find it but I am on the office computer so I can only check in every so often.

AUS 6 and 440A are essentially the same steel, however SOG advertises the NW Ranger as AUS 6. The pentagon is also AUS 6 but the folding version (pentagon elite) is made of AUS 8.

Ok that is what was confusing me then. Some sellers had 440A some had AUS6. Made me wonder if their had been a change or something. Did not realize that they were essentially the same steel.
